Lawrence R. Keeley

Lawrence R. Keeley, 82, of Hanson, formerly of Dorchester, passed away March 30, 2013. Born May 29, 1930, he was raised and educated in South Boston schools and later graduated from Northeastern University and attended Suffolk Law. Lawrence retired from Mass Electric and later worked part time for National Grid. He was a member of the Weymouth Kiwanis. Lawrence proudly served his country in the Army during the Korean War. Lawrence was the husband of the late Marlene A. (LeFrancois) Keeley. He is survived by his loving sons, Matthew R. Keeley and his wife Stephanie of Halifax and Phillip R. Keeley and his wife Joann of Hanson. Lawrence was the dear brother of Anne Reitman and Margaret Carey, both of South Boston, and the late John Keeley. He is survived by his cherished grandchildren, Joseph, Ryan, Tyler, Corey, Evan, as well as many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Homes, 2 Maquan St., at the corner of Rte. 14 and 58 in Hanson, Wednesday 4-7 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph the Worker Church, 1 Maquan St., Rte. 14, in Hanson. Interment with military honors at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne. In lieu of flowers, donations in Lawrences memory may be made to Wingate at Silver Lake Activities Department, 17 Chipman Way, Kingston, MA 02364.
