Robert C. Morrill Jr.

Robert C. Morrill Jr., age 70, of Leesburg, FL and formerly of Braintree, died Nov. 15, 2012 at Cornerstone Hospice House in Tavares, FL after a battle with progressive supranuclear palsy. Bob was born April 24, 1942 in Weymouth, to Robert and Virginia (Cash) Morrill. He grew up in Weymouth and graduated from Weymouth High School in 1960. Bob served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War on the aircraft carrier, U.S.S. Bon Homme Richard. Bob was a retired a Quality Assurance Engineer, working at Data General and EMC in Westboro. Bob was a member of Old South Union Church in South Weymouth and, after retiring to Florida, he was devoted to the Southpointe Baptist Church in Leesburg, FL. Bob was a member of the Weymouth United Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed sports, especially playing baseball at the Red Sox Fantasy Camp in Fort Meyers, FL. He joined his Fantasy Camp Teammates to play a game at Fenway Park. He is survived by his loving wife, Louise (Wellman) Morrill, of Leesburg, FL. He is also survived by his parents, Robert and Virginia Morrill, of Cape Coral, FL, a brother, Bruce Morrill and his wife Jane, of Weymouth, MA and a sister, Pamela Wolfe, of Cape Coral, FL. He leaves four children and their spouses: Gretchen (Morrill) and Michael Kelley of Winchendon, MA, Jennifer (Morrill) and Gerry Ulland of West Chester, OH, Wendy Manno of Leesburg, FL and Scott and Kristen Morrill of Weymouth, MA. He leaves ten grandchildren: Brendan and Sean Kelley, Kathryn, Jacob, Lauren and Anna Ulland, Drew and Brett Manno, and Zooey and Leela Morrill. He was predeceased by a sister, Judith (Morrill) Hamilton. Burial will private at Bushnell National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be given to the Cornerstone Hospice House 2445 Lane Park Rd. Tavares, FL 32778 or to Ocala Honor Flight
