To: Peg, and your extended family.
We want you to know that we share your grief for your enormous loss. You have lost a very special human being.
Bill had a lifetime of friendships, interests, accomplishments, a loved and loving wife, a wonderful home, and a family that meant so much to him. In these recent years of his progressive illness, his
strength came from his loving wife, family, and grandchildren.
Peg, you were his constant companion and nurse bringing him extra strength to the end. Never did he feel abandoned.
Bill and I became very good friends at the University of Rhode Island in the fifties. We had a great time doing a lot of interesting things together back then. While the friendship became less active as we each went our separate ways, we stayed in touch. In the last several years we renewed this friendship and enjoyed lunches and frequent phone exchanges.
His strength in the face of adversity was exceptional. He never lost his ability to find the positives and not dwell on his disabilities. He always found a way to stay in touch with his sports teams. He fought the great fight against growing odds to the very end. He will be sorely missed by all who know him.
While his body abandoned him this week, his spirit lives on in the wonderful memories we all share of him.
Our thoughts and prayers will continue to be with all of you and Bill.
Love,
Buster and Barbara Messere

Dear Dad - you were the best father anyone could ask for. The memories are overwhelmingly beautiful with nothing to regret. I will miss you beyond words as will your grandson, Josh. I hope you are at peace. Know we were all there holding your hand and talking to you yesterday morning as you crossed over to God. Watch down upon us as we grow with a smile in your heart and knowing every day I will continue to talk to you and tell you how much you are loved. Your daughter, Molly Boudrot
