I had the pleasure of knowing Mr Coyle by being his personal CT tech! I looked forward to seeing him and told him to be sure to come on my day at work. He was always so pleasant and always had a good story. He was one of my favorites and I will miss having him brighten my day. With my deepest sympathy.... Gina, DFCI CT dept

Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your years of dedicated service and sacrifice-first for our Country when you served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and secondly for the citizens of Scitiuate when you served with the SPD. Al will be missed here at South Shore Hospital ! He was always a warm smile with a gentle manner to greet people coming into the doors of the hospital .I will miss him because he was a delight to work with and he was a great friend .My prayers go to Priscilla and all the Coyle family .

I was sorry to hear of Al's passing. He and my husband worked together for many years at the SPD. He helped me when my husband died and i will always remember him as a good friend. Sarah & Ted, The Coyle Family is a major part of my childhood and Al was a major influence; we would be sure to behave knowing that Mr. Coyle might be on duty not because he would tell our parents but we would have felt as though we disappointed him. He was caring, kind, and a very special man. He would welcome us to your home while he sat in the breezeway. In recent years, although I knew my way around the hospital if he saw me walk in, he'd be sure to "show me the way" by walking with me just so we could talk! He will be missed!

I am so sorry to hear of Al's passing. He worked with my dad at the police dept. for many years, and as a small child have memories of him. He was a very nice man. When my dad passed, he was missing parts of his uniform, that he was buried in, and Al went out of his way to make sure it was complete. That meant so much to us. He took care of a few things for us, and for that I am forever grateful. My thoughts are with the family.

As a former police office for the Town of Hanson (1964-70), I met Sgt. Alfred Coyne at the Hingham District Courthouse. I remember his being a very conscientious and dedicated public servant. It was my honor and privilege to know him. He often offered me insight and guidance. He was a gentle, kind man and my friend. Alfred is in my thoughts and prayers. My condolences to his family and friends.
