Alfred DiBona, a lifetime resident of Quincy, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 6, at home. He was 82 years old. Born in Quincy on August 7, 1930, he was the loving son of the late Costanzo and Antonia (DiBona) DiBona. Mr. DiBona was a graduate of Quincy High School and served in the United States Navy in Korea on the USS Shenandoah. He worked as a Machinist for Bethlehem Steel at the former Fore River Ship Yard in Quincy for many years. He enjoyed Ballroom Dancing and was a lifetime member of the Weymouth Elks. Mr. DiBona was the loving father of Eileen DiBona of Quincy, Susan DiBona Marshall and her husband Robert of Foxboro, Douglas DiBona and his wife April of Hanson, Eric DiBona and his wife Laura of Dudley and the late David DiBona. He was the cherished grandfather of William, Danielle, Robbie, Christopher, Nora, Alyssa, Eric, Christina, Anthony, Andie Lynn, Andrea, the late Marky and one great granddaughter Kamryn. He was the dear brother of the late Christina Pagnano, Nora Tanguay, Gildo DiBona, Reno DiBona and James DiBona. Arrangements being made by the Bolea-Buonfiglio Funeral Home, 116 Franklin Street in Quincy. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Johns Church, 44 School Street, Quincy on Thursday, Oct. 11 at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
