Ann (Gaughan) Wilder Magaw passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Dec. 5, 2012. Ann was born in Dorchester, to the late Nora and Thomas Gaughan, Feb. 10, 1937. Ann worked first at Dorchester Court and then for many years as head procedures clerk at the Housing Court, City of Boston division, where she was the recipient of the Trial Court Employee Excellence Award. After her retirement, Ann continued to work earnestly and joyously on her lifelong interests. Ann was a bright and radiant force in the lives of all who knew her. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Charles; and her devoted daughters, Patricia A. Wilder of Falmouth and Barbara J. Lohmar of Weymouth. Also survived by her adored grandchildren, Frank of Falmouth and Brian Kenneth and Lauren Nora-Ann of Weymouth; her sister, Barbara of New York; and by her faithful Labrador companion, Shadow. Ann was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Wilder, who died in 1967. At Anns request, there will be no visiting hours. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Elizabeth Church, Milton, Monday at 12 p.m. Interment will follow immediately at Blue Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dr. Basilico Heart Fund at New England Baptist Hospital, 125 Parker St., Boston, MA 02115, where Ann received a gold standard of care on 4 East.
