Anna Neil Obituary

Anna M. (Burgholzer) Neil, age 96, of Lakeville, formerly of Braintree, died peacefully, Thursday, July 5, 2012, at the Island Terrace Nursing Home in Lakeville, surrounded by her loving family. She was born, raised, and educated in Boston. She had lived in Lakeville for the past eight years, previously living in Braintree for 34 years and earlier in Quincy and Dorchester. Anna worked as a key punch operator for the former New England Telephone Company in Braintree for 10 years. Beloved wife of the late James Neil Jr., she was the devoted mother of James F. Neil and his wife Claire of Quincy, Robert J. Neil and his wife Maureen of Kingston and the late William L. Neil; loving grandmother of Christopher R. Neil and his wife Elizabeth of Lakeville and the late James F. Neil Jr. Funeral services will be conducted at the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Ave., Quincy, Monday, July 9, at 1 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting prior to the service from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Interment in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. For those who wish, donations in Mrs. Neils memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472.
