Dr. Arthur R. Bing Sergi Jr. DMD, age 77 of Duxbury died Friday, Nov. 16, 2012. The son of the late Arthur R. and Helen Lee (Rose) Sergi Sr., he was born in Brockton on April 27, 1935. Bing was a member of the first graduating class at Arch Bishop Williams High School. Bing was also a 1957 graduate of the College of the Holy Cross and graduated from Tufts Dental School. Bing did his Oral Surgery training at Boston City Hospital and an internship at Chelsea Naval Hospital. He owned two oral surgery practices in Quincy and Norwell. He was the loving husband of Maryann Nan (Wagner) Sergi, devoted father of Mark Sergi of Tampa FL (wife Kathy), Maryann Sergi Taylor of San Diego CA (husband Timothy), Patricia Sergi Duty (husband Eric) and Suzanne Sergi Murphy (husband Sean) both of Duxbury. Bing was also the cherished grandfather of Gabriella and Alec Sergi, Timothy Taylor, Brandon, Joshua and Ryan Duty, and Molly Murphy as well as the devoted brother of Richard J. Sergi of Brockton. Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 551 Washington St., Rte 53 in Hanover on Tuesday from 4 - 8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 40 Canal St. in Green Harbor (Marshfield).
