Assunta Susie (Maudente) Tripodi, age 90, of Braintree, died peacefully, Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012, at the Pope Nursing Home in Weymouth, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Palermiti, Province of Catanzaro, Italy. She immigrated to the United States in 1953 and lived in Bostons North End. She had lived in Braintree for over 40 years. Susie was employed as a stitcher in the Boston garment industry for over 25 years and had been retired for over 20 years. She enjoyed vegetable gardening. Susie was devoted to her family and had a deep faith in God. Beloved wife of the late Vincenzo Tripodi, she was the devoted mother of Maria Tripodi of Braintree, Joseph Tripodi and his wife Lynne of Wakefield; loving grandmother of Paul, Alex, and Elisa Tripodi; dear sister of Rose Aiello of Braintree. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Ave., Quincy, Friday, Nov. 2, at 9 a.m. Funeral Mass in Saint John the Baptist Church, 44 School St., Quincy, at 10 Oclock.
