Obituary Condolences

Cynthia T. (Guest) Wilson "Cindy" of Quincy, died peacefully at home on Sept. 14, 2013 surrounded by the family she cherished, after a courageous battle with cancer, she was 63. The beloved wife of 40 years to James F. Wilson. Devoted mother of Thomas TJ Wilson and his wife Katie of Marshfield and Christopher M. Wilson and his wife Melinda of Chelmsford. Cherished Yia Yia to Benjamin and Meadow. Loving daughter of Thomas F. Guest of Quincy and the late Theodosia (Dusopol). Loving sister of Christine Cookie McGuire and her husband James of Weymouth. Cindy is also survived by many brothers and sisters-in-laws, several nieces and nephews, cherished colleagues and dear friends. A lifelong Quincy resident, Cindy graduated from North Quincy High School, it was there that she met the love of her life, Jim. She went on to further her education and received her Masters degree in Education from Boston State College. Her teaching career spanned over 30 years, including schools such as Merrymount, Broadmeadows and retiring from Atlantic. She took great pride in educating the children in her care. An avid golfer, she was a lifetime member of Furnace Brook Golf Club. Her family was the foundation of all that was truly important to her. Cindy will be remembered as a devoted wife, a cherished mother and grandmother, a dedicated teacher who demonstrated what a positive role model truly is and a treasured friend. Taken too soon, she will live on in all the hearts that she touched. At her request, services are private.
