Delia M. Beatty Obituary
Delia M. Beatty of Quincy, passed away on March 26, 2013, at the age of 89. Delia retired as supervisor at New England Telephone after 34 years of service. She was a graduate of Suffolk University, a member of Telephone Pioneers, former president of the Galway Ladies Club, a volunteer at Carney Hospital and frequent visitor to the Irish Pastoral Center. Delia was a worldwide traveler and will be best remembered as a lifetime student, always seeking new opportunities to learn. Loving sister of Mary Beatty of Quincy, the late Catherine McGarty, John Beatty, Joseph Beatty, Coleman Beatty, Edward Beatty, Thomas Christopher Beatty and George Beatty. Also survived by many devoted nieces and nephews. Friends and relatives are invited to visiting hours at the Deware Funeral Home, 576 Hancock St, Quincy on Sunday, March 31, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral from Deware Funeral Home, on Monday, April 1, at 9 a.m. followed a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Anns Church, 757 Hancock St, Quincy at 10 a.m. Burial to follow in New Calvary Cemetery, Boston.
