Domenic F. Penza Jr. of Randolph, formerly of Walpole, passed away after a long and courageous battle with cancer and diabetes Nov. 8, 2012, at the age of 77. Born in Walpole, Domenic graduated from Walpole High School. He worked for many years as a Union plasterer and was the maintenance director at MacLean Hospital in Belmont for over 25 years. He was a member of the Randolph Knights of Columbus. Domenic had many passions in life including music, where he was an accomplished accordion player who played with his band in and around the Boston area; however, being with his family is what brought him the most joy. He was the beloved husband of the late Arlene L. Nancy (Hurley) Penza; loving father of Debi Montana and her husband David of Weymouth, David Mitchell of Quincy, Laurie Penza of Braintree, Susan Penza McDonald of Brockton, Donald Penza of W. Palm Beach, Fla., Stephen Penza and his wife Shelley of Carlsbad, Calif., and Lisa Cross of Greenville, S.C.; devoted brother of Robert Penza of Medway, Joseph Penza of Walpole and Marie Buchanan of Tennessee; dear grandfather of Jonathan Hawes, Christopher Montana, Evan Penza, Brandi Penza and Holly Smith. Also survived by two great-grandchildren and his companion Joan Doherty of Avon. Reposing at the Cartwright Funeral Home, 419 North Main St. (Rte. 28), Randolph. A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Union Congregational Church, 74 Commercial St., Braintree. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
