Eleanor Ellie Marie Coupe, of Hanover, formerly of Lewiston, ME, died Friday, October 18, 2013 at Colonial Rehab and Nursing Center in Weymouth after a brief illness. She was born in Lawrence on August 2, 1922 the daughter of the late William and Margaret Marion (Hagan) Callahan. She was pre deceased by her loving husband of 66 years, Clarence W. Coupe. Ellie enjoyed reading, sewing, antiques and especially enjoyed family gatherings. She is survived by 3 children Richard and his wife Donna of FL, Janet and her partner Pat of Hanover and Douglas and his wife Melinda of CO, 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Also survived by her brother William J. Callahan of Bloomfield, CT and many loving nieces, nephews and dear friends. Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 551 Washington St., Rte 53 in Hanover on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10 a.m. in St. Mary of the Sacred Heart Church, 392 Hanover St., Rte 139 in Hanover. Interment in St. Marys Cemetery in Lawrence. The Coupe family expresses its deepest gratitude for the wonderful and compassionate care at Colonial Rehab and Nursing Center.
