Elfrieda C. Jorgensen Obituary
Elfrieda C. (Hunsicker) Jorgensen, 90, of Mansfield, formerly of Stoughton and Easton, died Friday, March 21, 2014, at Maples Rehabilitation and Nursing Home in Wrentham after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Anders V. Jorgensen. Born in Essweiler, Germany in 1923, she was the daughter of the late Rudolph and Karoline (Bedinger) Hunsicker, she was raised and educated in Richmond Hill, N.Y. She married her late husband Anders in 1942 living in Brooklyn, N.Y. for several years and then moving to Albany, N.Y. and later Shawn Springs, N.Y. She moved to Stoughton in Dec.. of 1963 where she resided for 20 years. She was employed as a cake decorator for the former Fernandes Supermarket in Stoughton for 10 years. After moving from Stoughton, she retired to Eastham and spent the winters in Englewood, Fla., eventually residing year round in Englewood. Upon the passing of her husband she moved back to Easton where she resided for several years and eventually settled in Mansfield. An avid reader, baker and cook, her other hobbies included sewing and gardening. Elfrieda is survived by three children, Gary Jorgensen of Naples, FL., Keith Jorgensen of Stoughton and Diane Tierney of Easton; a brother, Helmut Hunsicker of N.Y..:three grandchildren, Jennifer Tierney of Easton, Alexander Jorgensen of Raynham, and Brenna Jorgensen of Raynham; and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Ewald R. Hunsicker. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Tuesday from 4 - 6 p.m. in Kane Funeral Home & Cremation Services 605 Washington Street (Rte.138), Easton, followed by a funeral service at 6 p.m. in the funeral home.
