Francis C. "Frank" Mahoney, 52, of Wrentham, passed peacefully at home surrounded by his family on October 16, 2018. He was the beloved husband of Erin T. (Fahey) Mahoney. Born in Quincy, March 29, 1966, he was a treasured son of Caroline R. (DeLuca) Mahoney and the late Francis J. Mahoney of Braintree. Frank was educated in Braintree schools. As a young adult he attended Babson College and received his master's degree from Bentley University. Frank worked as an Application Development Manager at State Street Bank for twenty-four years. He was an avid New England sports fan and often took his children to Red Sox and Patriots games. In earlier days, he coached his eldest son in youth baseball and CYO basketball. He enjoyed hiking and skiing in the mountains of New Hampshire and Vermont. Frank was an exceptional role model for his children and fought very hard for a very long time; he brightened the lives of everyone who knew him. He will always be remembered for being selfless, respected, and loved. His greatest joy was in spending time with his family and friends. In addition to his wife and mother, Frank is survived by his children, Christopher, Elizabeth and Andrew; his beloved siblings, John Mahoney of Scituate and Annemarie McGrath and her husband John of Sandwich. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and extended family. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, October 19, from 4-7 p.m. in the RJ Ross Funeral Home, 135 South Street, Wrentham. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 20, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, 130 South Street, Wrentham. Burial will follow in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
