Francis John McLaughlin, age 61, of Avon, passed away peacefully on Oct. 12, 2012 surrounded by loved ones. Frank graduated from North Quincy High School in 1970. He served in the Air Force as a communications specialist. He worked at the VA Hospital for many years. He also coached in Avon Little League for many years. Frank was a diehard fan of the Red Sox and Patriots. Beloved husband to Mary Christine (Curley) McLaughlin. Devoted father of three sons; Gregory McLaughlin and wife Christin of Randolph, Christopher McLaughlin of Stoughton, and Nicholas McLaughlin of Avon. Proud Papa of Stella McLaughlin. Devoted son to Dorothy McLaughlin of West Bridgewater. Dear Brother to Susan Lambropolous and husband Bill of Mansfield. Survived by many loving cousins, brothers and sisters in-laws, nieces and nephews. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Michaels Church, Avon Wednesday at 10 a.m. Visiting hours will be held prior to the Mass at the Hurley Funeral Home, 127 So. Franklin St. (Rte. 37), Holbrook, Wednesday beginning at 8:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment private. Late US Air Force Veteran.
