Fred A. Bennett Jr., 87, of Quincy, passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2013 at Jordan Hospital in Plymouth. The son of the late Fred and Edith (Covell) Bennett, he was born in Amesbury, MA on Aug. 19, 1925. He proudly served in the Army during WWII and was later employed in Sales at Drakes. He was a member of the American Legion in Quincy and enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing golf. He was the husband of the late Lorna (Piers) Bennett, father of Janice Flaim of Plymouth, Stephen Bennett of FL and the late Karen DeFrost. Brother of Herbert Bennett of NH, Beatrice Lund of Quincy and Caroline Moody of KT. Grandfather of Stephen Flaim of Duxbury, Matthew Flaim of Milton and Brian DeFrost of Plymouth. Great-grandfather of Brandon, Trevor and Nicholas Flaim and Olivia DeFrost.
