Helen F. (Wood) Attaya of Scituate, passed away on March 28, 2013, at the age of 94. Loving wife of the late Arthur B. Attaya. Helen was a RN at Deaconess Hospital during WWII and was night supervisor at South Shore Hospital. She loved family gatherings with her children and grandchildren, holidays in Boston, visits in Maine and the Cape with her sisters, and lunches with friends and co-workers. She enjoyed travel, music, dancing and hats - for all occasions. Helen leaves behind her beloved children: Helen Small and husband Russell, Judy Attaya-Harris and sons, Arthur B. Attaya, II and wife Tracy, Margo Attaya and husband Arne Sturm, and her dearly beloved grandchildren: Arthur, Jack, Natalie and Mark Attaya, Alexandra Sturm and many dear nieces and nephews. Dear sister of Keith Wood, Marjorie Godbois and the late Phyllis Malone, Lois Cuirlino, Ruth Gosselin, Norma Smart, Hanford and Leonard Wood. Friends and Family are invited to a memorial visitation on Wed, April 10th at the Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Rd, Scituate from 4PM to 8PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Mary of the Nativity Church, 1 Kent St., Scituate on Thurs, April 11th at 10AM. Interment to follow in Cudworth Cemetery, Scituate. Helen's family wishes to express their appreciation to her "second family" at Marina Bay for their thoughtfulness love and care while she was with them.
