Obituary Condolences

Jean T. (Davis) Griffin, 80 of Pembroke formerly of Boston died on October 13. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Frederick E. and Martha T. (OConnor) Davis. She was raised and educated in Boston and also was a graduate of the Boston Clerical School. Jean was the beloved wife of the late Sgt. Gene (Peanuts) Griffin. Jean retired after 32 years working for the Common- wealth of Massachusetts and also worked for 17 years at Dress Barn enjoying putting outfits together for customers. Jean was a communicant at St. Theclas Church in Pembroke for many years until using a cane made it difficult to attend. She was a long time member of the Ladies Sodality at the church. Jean enjoyed the Boston Red Sox, playing Bingo and Yatzee, having breakfast at the Omelet Factory in Pembroke but mostly her family. Jean was a loving person and cared for everyone. She was a second mother to some and a grandmother to many. Everyone loved Jean and it is such a big loss to see her go. She is survived by her sister Agnes Smith of Rockland, Fred Davis of Rockland and John Davis of Pembroke and a very large extended family. She was predeceased by her sister Martha McGlone formerly of Bridgewater. Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 551 Washington St., Rte 53 in HANOVER on Thursday from 4-8PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 10:00AM in St. Theclas Church, 145 Washington St., Rte 53 in No. Pembroke. Interment in St. Josephs Cemetery, in West Roxbury.
