John Thomas PaPa John McGrath, 52, of Plymouth, formerly of Kingston, died at home Dec. 30, surrounded by his loving family. He leaves his longtime companion Jean Garland of Plymouth; his children, Johnathan McGrath and his husband Gus McGrath of Holbrook, Timothy McGrath of Weymouth, Deborah Harrington, Tammy Morey, both of Carver, and Chester Garland Jr. of Plymouth. He was the brother of Mary Larivee of Ohio, Stephanie Shaughnessy of Hull, Daniel McGrath of Duxbury, Joanne Reilly of New York, Joseph McGrath of Wareham, Patrick McGrath of Pawtucket, Michael McGrath of Plymouth, Maria Sullivan of Marshfield and the late Jane DeForge. He also leaves eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. John was born in Stoughton and graduated from Marshfield High School. He was a truck driver for Carra Donna, and he loved gardening, camping and especially his family. Visiting hours will be held at the Richard Davis Funeral Home, 373 Court St. (Rte. 3A), North Plymouth, Thursday, Jan. 3, from 4 to 8 p.m. A prayer service will be held Friday, Jan. 4, at 10 a.m. Burial will be private.
