Joseph L. Hall Obituary
Joseph L. Hall, of Pembroke, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love and laughter of his family on July 5, 2013. He was the son of the late James Hall and Donna Galliano of Hull. He is survived by his former wife Catherine Hall of New Bedford and their four children, Justina Hall of New Bedford, Joseph Hall and his wife Kim of Palmer, AK, Jennifer Hall of Manchester, N.H., Jessica Maldonado and her husband Samuel of New Bedford. Born in Binghampton, N.Y., Joseph was one of twelve children. His surviving siblings are Robert Hall of Quincy, Ronald Hall of Weymouth, Peggy Hoskings of Cincinnati, OH, Mildred Gaeta of Pembroke, Leon Galliano of Riverside, CA, and Diane Palma of Pembroke. As a young man Joey lived a very colorful life selling snow cones outside Fenway Park, worked on a dairy farm, traveled as a circus carnie, and served with the US Navy. He worked over 23 years with Dennis K. Burke Inc. Cooking was a favorite pastime. He was famous for his roast beef dinners. The ocean was something he also loved. Nantasket Beach in Hull always held a special place for him, as he resided there for many years. He was a wonderful, caring uncle to his many nieces and nephews and took much joy in spending time with his 9 grandchildren. His pride in their accomplishments was unparalleled. Joey always had a joke and his unique brand of humor and unmistakable laugh is what all who knew him will hold in their memories. A private celebration of life was held by the family.
