Joshua Smey Obituary
Joshua Smey, age 32, of Pembroke, passed away suddenly at his home on September 2, 2018. Beloved son of June and Peter Smey, he was the brother of Kim Wildman of Hanover and Michael Pantano of Kingston; brother-in-law to Phil Wildman; and uncle of Ryan, Anthony and Matthew Wildman. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends. Born and raised in Pembroke, he was a graduate of Silver Lake Regional High School, class of 2004. Josh was an avid Boston sports fan and a lifelong player and coach on many local hockey and softball teams. His passion and dedication to local kids and promotion of sports will forever be remembered. He built a successful contracting business, Smey Painting and Remodeling, and served on the Pembroke Housing Authority. Josh was always there with a beaming smile on his face and a helping hand for anyone who needed it. He will be greatly missed by all. Visitation will be held at Sullivan Funeral Home, 551 Washington Street, Rte. 53, Hanover, on Friday, September 7, from 2-6 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Sullivans on Saturday, September 8, at 10 a.m., with burial procession to follow at Pembroke Cemetery.
