Kathleen S. Landry Obituary
Kathleen S. (Giglio) Landry, age 83, of Braintree, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her three loving sons, on Saturday, June 9, 2018, at Allerton House in Weymouth. Born in Boston and raised in Quincy, she was a graduate of St. Johns School and was a member of Archbishop Williams High Schools Class of 1953, the first class to have spent all four years at the school. She left work at Sears, Roebuck and Company shortly after marrying the late Joseph R. Landry for the greatest joy of her life, raising her three sons. She lived in Braintree for 48 years. She loved spending time with her family and cooking Italian food. She especially loved big family gatherings and trips with her sisters and close friends. She enjoyed the camaraderie of the Olindys Ladybugs and socializing with her longtime high school friends. She is survived by her three sons: Douglas R. Landry, M.D. and his wife Susan of Virginia Beach, Va.; Kevin P. Landry and his wife Alexandra of Norwell; and Darrell C. Landry and his wife Sherri Mann, M.D. of Hartland, Wis. She is the loving grandmother of Anna Williamson, Samuel, Emily, and Matthew Landry; Alexis, Blake, Conner, and Eleni Landry; and Madison and Sydney Landry. She adored her two great-grandchildren, Evelyn and Andrew. The youngest of six, Kathleen was predeceased by her brother, Francis Giglio, and her sisters, Rose Kenney, Marie Bateman, Margaret Goulart, and Kristine Bizzozero. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Funeral from the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Avenue, Quincy, Thursday, June 14, at 8:30 a.m. Funeral Mass in Saint John the Baptist Church, 44 School Street, Quincy at 9:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours at the funeral home Wednesday 5 | 8 p.m. Interment Mount Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy.
