Mary L. Fisher Obituary
Mary L. (Flaherty) Fisher of Weymouth, formerly of Braintree for most of her life, passed away peacefully on Nov. 16, 2013. Born in Dorchester, she was the loving daughter of the late Patrick and Mary Ann (Dillon) Flaherty. She was educated at St. Gregorys High School in Dorchester and worked as an Executive Assistant at the Federal Reserve Bank in Boston for ten years. She was the cherished wife of John E. Fisher for fifty-nine years, loving mother of John and his wife Susan of Plymouth, Paul and his wife Julie of Needham, James and his wife Christina of Longmeadow, Robert and his wife Marianne, Jane ODriscoll and her husband Barry, Gail Fisher-Jamieson all of Norwell, Jill Brazel and her husband Brendan of Hingham, Thomas and his wife Leanne of Braintree. Mary is also survived by twenty-three grandchildren whom she adored. Mary is survived by 6 siblings Peggy Quirk of Braintree, Alice Ryan of Weymouth, Patricia Crilley of Weymouth, Paul Flaherty of Braintree, Alfred Flaherty of Marshfield and James Flaherty of Quincy. Mary was known for her devotion to her family. She took great pride in raising her 8 children and then her 23 grandchildren became the highlight of her life. She cherished family memories spent at their home on Lake Wequaquet on Cape Cod, lively family holidays and attending her childrens/grandchildrens sporting events. Mary had a great sense of family and always had relatives dropping in at a moments notice. Everyone enjoyed her relaxed easy-going style and great sense of humor. She will be missed dearly by all who have known her. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Wednesday from 4 - 7 p.m. at McMaster Funeral Home at 86 Franklin Street, Braintree. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Clares Church at 1244 Liberty St. in Braintree. Interment in Blue Hill Cemetery in Braintree.
