Michael S. McDonough of Braintree passed away Sunday, May 20, at his home, after a lifelong battle with diabetes. He was the loving father to Kailey McDonough and her fiance Alan Hanley of Bridgewater; and proud loving Papa to Brianna, whom he adored. Michael was looking forward to the birth of his grandson, Paul Michael. He was the beloved life partner to Anne Bell of Braintree. Also survived by his brother, Kerry (Kathy) McDonough of Brockton; and sisters, Diane Conley of Laconia, N.H., Debbie Williams of Quincy, Maureen (Kent) Robinson of Port Richey, Fla., Lori (Peter) Muse of Meredith, N.H., and Janice (Fred) Prutch of Brighton, Colo.; as well as eight nephews and six nieces and their children. He was the son of the late John and Loretta McDonough and brother of the late John McDonough. Michael was a graduate of Braintree High School and a dedicated employee for Apro Plumbing for the past 17 years. Michael was an avid Boston sports fan with a special love for the Boston Red Sox and the Patriots. Those he loved and knew will remember him as a true person who gave himself completely to his family and friends. Michael was such a sentimental, sweet, caring and a fun-loving person. His smile was contagious. He will be sadly missed by many and never forgotten. A celebration of Michael's life will be held Thursday, May 24. For location, please contact a family member or check Facebook. In lieu of flowers, donations in Michael's memory may be made to the American Diabetic Association.
