Nola W. (LaBelle) Meiggs, 78, of Kingston, born in Newark, N.J., daughter of the late Alfred and Alice LaBelle of North Andover, passed away Jan. 19, 2014. A graduate of Oliver Ames High School of Easton and Chamberlain School of Retailing, after graduation from Chamberlain, she worked as a display manager for Sheridans Department Store. During her lifetime, she belonged to The Rainbow Girls, the Executive Board of the Hanson/Pembroke Mothers Club and was president for 2 years, member of the Hanson VNA, and secretary of the Hanson Republican Town Committee. For 13 years, she was a columnist and reporter for the Silver Lake News. She and her husband were avid antique collectors and owned an auction business. Her home in Kingston was featured on the Jones River Historical Society Christmas Tour. She is survived by her husband, Russell; two sons, Gary Mansfield of Conn., and Scott Mansfield of Calif.; daughter, Kimberly Carney of Mass.; and three granddaughters, Samantha, Avery, and Sydney.
