Norman H. Dunn, 81, of Rockland, died Friday, Sept 13, 2013 at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth. The son of the late Everett and Myrtle (Chandler) Dunn, he was born in Plymouth on May 31, 1932. Norman was raised and educated in Duxbury and proudly served in the Navy. He had worked at General Dynamics for many years and later at Sullivan Tire. Norman enjoyed gardening, landscaping and carpentry. Beloved husband of Mary (Umbrianna) Dunn, loving father of Kenneth of Rockland, Pam Turner of Kingston, John of Kingston, Linda Spinney of Halifax and Scott of Plymouth. Brother of Everett of Hanson, George of Whitman, and Stephen of Plymouth. Stepbrother of Myrtle Bolster of Ore., Phillip of Marshfield, Sharon Umbrianna of Rockland, Dennis of Fla. and Richard of Rockland. Cherished grandfather of 11 and great-grandfather of 8. Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 45 East Water St. in Rockland, on Monday from 4 - 8 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Holy Family Church, 403 Union St. in Rockland.
