Patrick M. Faherty Jr., age 45, of Lowell, formerly of Quincy, died peacefully, Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012 at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, surrounded by his loving family after a long battle with Marfan Syndrome. He was born in Boston, raised and educated in Quincy schools and was a graduate of Quincy High School, Class of 1985. He was also a graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He has lived in Lowell for ten years, previously in Quincy. Patrick was a paralegal and had worked at the Attorney Generals Office in Boston for over fourteen years. He was active in Quad Rugby and had played in college and later for the Boston Pit Bulls, travelling nationally and internationally. He was always the smile in the room and loved chocolate. For Patrick, his loving wife and daughter were the highlights of his life. Beloved husband of Tracy Elizabeth (Spencer) Faherty. Devoted father of Liliana Roisin Faherty. Cherished son of Patrick M. and Bridget B. (McDonagh) Faherty of Marstons Mills. Dear brother of Breeda Snow and her husband Ian of Winthrop, Muiread Craft of Falmouth and Deirdre Faherty of Novato, CA. Uncle of Liam Craft. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Funeral from the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Avenue, Quincy, Saturday, Oct. 20 at 9 a.m. Funeral Mass in Holy Trinity Parish at the Most Blessed Sacrament Church, corner of Sea and Darrow Streets, Quincy at 10 oclock.
