Pauline Marie Polly Fisher, 89, passed away peacefully Sept. 9, 2012, at her home at Plymouth Crossings in Plymouth and was a longtime resident of Kingston. She was the beloved wife of the late Ralph E. Fisher, married 64 years. Born Nov. 3, 1922, in Lewiston, Maine, and raised in Danville Junction, Maine. She served 35 years as a professional surgical fitter and cosmetician with Balbonis Pharmacy, North Plymouth. Polly led a long, active and adventurous life, was dear to us all and will remain a fond loving memory and inspiration. For many years, she active at Mayflower Congregational Church of Kingston and with the Mayflower Club. Polly was the eldest daughter of the late George E. and Myrtle E. (Grey) Tolman; and sister of the late Howard W., Sgt. Robert E. and Frederick E. Tolman. She is survived by sons, Bruce B. Fisher and his wife Claire of Newport, R.I., and David B. Fisher and his wife Constance of Williamsburg, Va.; grandchildren, Bruce J., Brian D., Alexander J., Christopher W. and Victoria A. OMalley (Fisher); five great-grandchildren, Henry D., Eliza B., Ellen G., Charlotte H. and Julia G. Fisher; and siblings, June K., George R., James N., Ruth M., and Frank W. Tolman. Visiting hours at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St. (Rte. 106), Kingston, Friday, Sept. 14, from 4-8 p.m. Her funeral service will be held at the Mayflower Congregational Church, 207 Main St. (Rte. 106), Kingston, Saturday, Sept. 15, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery, 21 Green St., Kingston. In lieu of flowers, donations in Pauline's memory may be to the Mayflower Congregational Church, Kingston, or to Jordan Hospital or to Cranberry Hospice, Plymouth.
