Phyllis M. (Sullivan) McDonald Morgan, age 82, formerly of Marshfield and Braintree, died peacefully, Monday, January 20, 2014, at Wingate at Silver Lake in Kingston. Phyllis was born in Boston, raised and educated in South Boston schools and was a graduate of the former Nazareth High School and in 1950 received her LPN degree from the Boston City Hospital School of Nursing. She had lived in Kingston for three years, previously in Marshfield for fifteen years and in Braintree for over forty years. Phyllis was employed as assistant administrator at the Pilgrim Center in Braintree for twenty-one years and retired in 2001. She had previously worked at South Shore Hospital for several years. She devoted to her family, church, schools and community. Beloved wife of the late William R. Morgan and John J. McDonald, she was the devoted mother of John J. McDonald, Jr. of Cheshire, CT, Daniel F. McDonald, Helen F. Emond, Michael P. McDonald, James Leo McDonald all of Marshfield, Girard J. McDonald of Wethersfield, CT, Philip McDonald of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Arthur P. McDonald of Stafford, VA, Paul C. McDonald of Aspen, CO, William R. Morgan, Jr. of Brockton and Phyllis M. Morgan of Marshfield; loving grandmother of thirty-three grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Phyllis was predeceased by her two sisters, Dorothy F. Willett and Mary F. Welch. Funeral from the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Avenue, Quincy, Friday, January 24, at 9 a.m. Funeral Mass in Saint John the Baptist Church, 44 School St., Quincy, at 10 oclock. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours at the funeral home Thursday 4-8 p.m. Interment Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
