Queenie (Kochakian) Madden, 85 years of age, entered eternal life Saturday, March 8, 2014, at the Life Care Center in Plymouth. She was born in Madison, Maine, and had been a longtime Braintree resident. In her earlier years, she had been a hairdresser. More recently she had been employed by the Sears store in South Shore Plaza in the housewares department where she worked for twenty years. She was a member of the First Congregational Church in Braintree and a member of the Sodalitas Society of the church. She had been a volunteer at the John Scott Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Braintree. She was the wife of the late Joseph R. Madden who died in 1997. She was the loving mother of Eileen Baldwin married to Michael of Plymouth and Kenneth R. Madden of Braintree. She was the mother of the late Robert J. Madden. She was the devoted grandmother of Christie Farina, Joseph Farina, and Michael Baldwin of Plymouth and Abbey and Timothy Madden of South Carolina. She was the great-grandmother of Ava Marie Farias. Queenie was the sister of Miriam M. Kochakian. She was the sister of the late Victoria Kochakian who died recently. Visiting hours will be held at the Mortimer N. Peck-Russell Peck Funeral Home, 516 Washington Street, Braintree, Thursday, March 13, from 5-8 p.m. A private funeral service will be held at the funeral home Friday to be followed by burial at Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
