Sara T. Sally (DiCrasto) Singler, age 87, died peacefully, Saturday, September 14, 2013 at the Carney Hospital in Dorchester. She was born in Quincy, raised and educated in Quincy schools and was a graduate of Quincy High School, Class of 1944. Sally was a lifelong Quincy resident and enjoyed many years as a winter resident of Delray Beach, Florida with her late husband, Joseph. Sally was employed as an executive secretary at the former Fore River Shipyard in Quincy for thirty-eight years. She worked for both the Bethlehem Steel Company and for General Dynamics and has been retired many years. She enjoyed sports, especially baseball and travelling. She was devoted to her family. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Singler. Cherished daughter of the late Giovanni and Rosaria (Saccone) DiCrasto. Devoted sister of Margaret A. Conte and her late husband Guido of Quincy, Francis J. DiCrasto and his wife Elizabeth of Quincy. Dear aunt of Carol A. Conte, Beverly M. Conte, Paula Bobrow, Jean Dondero, Linda Auger, Diane Landrey and John F. DiCrasto. Survived by many great-nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her step-daughter Cheryl A. Gardner and her husband Bruce of Amelia Island, Florida, three step-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren. Funeral from the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Avenue, Quincy, Thursday, Sept. 19th at 9 a.m. Funeral Mass in Saint Josephs Church, 550 Washington Street, Quincy at 10 oclock. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours at the funeral home Wednesday 3 | 5 p.m. Interment Mount Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy.
