Stanley J. Boc, of Weymouth, died on Sunday morning after a long illness. He served in the Coast Guard during early 1940's on the USS Kirkpatrick which was a Destroyer-Escort at both the Atlantic and Pacific Campaigns. After the war Stanley met his future wife of 62 years and settled down in North Weymouth. He was proud to have worked 30 years at Draper Labs in Cambridge which is a subsidiary of M.I.T. and occasionally contracted with NASA. Stanley loved fishing, cheering on the Red Sox and Patriots, and could play a harmonica like you dream about. Stanley mostly enjoyed getting Ice Cream while spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Beloved husband of the Late Georgina (Medeiros) Boc, Stanley is survived by Stanley J. Boc Jr. and his wife Gayle of Honolulu, Hawaii, and Robert W. Boc and his wife Jean of Weymouth. Loving grandfather of Samantha Mele, Sandra, Kendra, and Christopher. Stanley is also survived by his great granddaughter Elizabeth Rose. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday from 4 - 8 p.m. at the McDonald Keohane Funeral home, South Weymouth (Rte. 18 opp. South Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. prior to the Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, Weymouth at 10:30 a.m. Burial will immediately follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Weymouth.
