Susan B. Devonshire Obituary
Susan B. Devonshire, age 55, of Weymouth, formerly of Quincy, died peacefully, Thursday, June 7, 2018, at the South Shore Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Susan was born to the late John T. Jay and Anne Francis (Brennan) Devonshire in Quincy, where she was raised and educated. She was a graduate of Quincy Vocational Technical High School, Class of 1981. Susan had lived in Weymouth for twenty-nine years, previously in Quincy. She was employed as a certified nursing assistant at various local nursing facilities. Susan was devoted to her family, actively supporting the activities and accomplishments of her children. She enjoyed spending summers on Cape Cod and Sebago Lake, Maine with her family. Beloved mother of John P. Behan III and Maura S. Behan, both of Weymouth. Former wife of John P. Behan, Jr. of Weymouth. Devoted sister of John Michael Devonshire and his wife Valerie of Marshfield, Kevin Paul Devonshire and his wife Nancy of Pembroke. Loving niece of the late Patti A. Brennan. Susan is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Memorial funeral services will be conducted at the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Avenue, Quincy on Thursday, June 14, at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment to follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury. For those who wish, donations in Susans memory may be made to Rosies Place, 889 Harrison Avenue, Boston, MA 02118.
