Tara Lynne (Gilmartin) Spinney, 51, of Weymouth died at her home Dec. 28, 2012, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Weymouth, daughter of the late Edward J. And Lorraine (Hennigar) Gilmartin II and was raised and educated in Rockland. She was a graduate of Rockland High School. Tara had been employed for the past 10 years as an ADA Consultant at the Johnson Early Childhood Center in Weymouth. She loved to garden and enjoyed the company of her dogs, Luca and Napoleon. She is survived by her children, Paul A. Spinney Jr. and Lauran-Lynne Spinney, both of Weymouth; her siblings, Vickie A. Gilmartin Kusleika of Foxboro, Colleen M. Gilmartin of Rhode Island, Barry S. Gilmartin of California and Edward J. Gilmartin III of Japan. She was the sister of the late Valerie J. Packard. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and cousins. The family welcomes friends and loved ones to celebrate her life Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012, from 2-4 p.m. at the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home, 135 Union St., in Rockland. A funeral service will be celebrated Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, by the Rev. Kristy Coburn at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. After cremation burial will be private.
