Obituary Condolences

William F. Moore, of Braintree, age 91, entered into eternal life on May 10, 2014. Bill was born and raised in Braintree, lived in Dorchester for many years before returning to Braintree and then to Sandwich where he resided with his son. Mr. Moore served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII. He was a radar crewman while stationed in Normandy, Northern France, the Rhineland and the Battle of the Bulge. Mr. Moore was a veteran Boston Police officer. He spent most of his career assigned to station 6 in South Boston. He belonged to the Boston Police Patrolmans Association. He was devoted to his late wife, Winifred R. Foley. Beloved son of the late Thomas Moore and the late Mary (Smith), formerly of Ireland. Beloved father of William F. Moore Jr. of Sandwich. He is survived by his favorite daughter-in-law Donna Moore of Sandwich. Loving and beloved grandfather to Kathleen and Sean Moore. Beloved brother of Doris A. Keliher of Norwood , the late Mary J. LaLond, Thomas J. Jr. and Robert J. Moore. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visiting hour at the Clancy-Lucid Funeral Home, 100 Washington St., Weymouth Landing on Tuesday, May 13, from 8 :30 until 9 :20 a.m. Funeral Mass in the Sacred Heart Church, Weymouth at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
