Mary F. (Cunningham) Caravella, age 80, of Bonita Springs, FL, passed away peacefully Feb. 17, 2011 after a long illness. She was the wife of Samuel R. Caravella to whom she has been married for the past 53 years. Born in Brookline, a daughter of the late John and Frances (Gorman) Cunningham, she was a longtime resident of Braintree. She and her husband moved to Bonita Springs, FL upon retirement in 1988. Mrs. Caravella was a graduate of Brookline High School, class of 1948. In addition to being a homemaker, she was also office manager for her family run oil heating company. Surviving in addition to her husband; one daughter, Suzann Rogers and her husband David of Swansea, three sons Peter Caravella and wife Paula of Plymouth, Matthew Caravella of Florida, Paul Caravella and his wife Maureen of Stoughton, WI; two brothers Joseph and Edward Cunningham, one sister Frances Nuzzo; four grandchildren, Matthew, Nicole, Jonathan, and Madelyn Caravella and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Louise, Eleanor, Jack and Leo. Her funeral Mass will be held Saturday, March 12, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. in Holy Name Church, 709 Hanover St., Fall River.
