Robert P. Cronin, age 75, of Pembroke, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family March 10, 2014. Born May 2, 1938, in Boston, he was the son of the late Walter and Mary (Bulger) Cronin. He was raised and educated in Mission Hill (Boston) and graduated from Boston University in 1963. He was later employed as a manager of Walgreens and was most recently employed by Lowes. Bob enjoyed gardening, reading, and traveling; most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends. Bob was the beloved husband of Dianne M. (Sarsfield) Cronin; devoted father of Donna P. Cronin of Norwood, Debra A. Dow and her husband Thomas of Norfolk, Stephen P. Cronin of Mansfield, R. Scott Cronin and his wife Leslie of Sagamore Beach, Kristin A. Cronin of Norwood, John W. Cronin of Mansfield, Kelley A. Cronin of Walpole, Cara M. Dempsey and her husband Brian of Kingston, Cathryn M. Wigman and her husband Derek of Quincy, Patrick S. Cronin of South Yarmouth, and Brigid L. Cronin of Pembroke; dear brother of Patricia Grattan and her husband Thomas of West Roxbury, Donald Cronin and his wife Susan of Canton, Geraldine McKenna and her husband Ronald of West Roxbury, Paul Cronin and his wife Donna of Everett, Dr. Jon Cronin and his wife Lillian of Milton, and the late Arlene ONeil; proud grandfather of six and great-grandfather of one. Bob also leaves many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Homes, 551 Washington St., Rte. 53, Hanover, Friday, March 14, from 4-8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Thecla Church, 145 Washington St., Rte. 53, Pembroke, Saturday at 10 a.m. Burial in Pembroke Center Cemetery. Donations in Bob's memory may be made to the Norwell VNA and Hospice, 120 Longwater Dr., Norwell, MA 02061.
