Florence J. (Zink) Maxwell, 93, formerly of Abington and Middleboro, passed away Tuesday, March 11, surrounded by her loving family. She was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, John I. Maxwell. Florence was born in 1920, in Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia, the youngest of 10 children. She was educated in Somerville and graduated from Chandler School for Women in Boston. She is survived by her 3 daughters, Judith Smith and her husband Kevin of Abington, Joanne Hetherington and her husband Donald of Conn., Wendy Maxwell of Bridgewater; also 4 grandchildren; and 1 great-granddaughter. Visitation will be held in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 at the rotary circle), Whitman, Monday, March 17, from 5-7 p.m., followed by a prayer service at 7 p.m. Interment will be at a later date in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
