Richard F. Bartlett of Weymouth, 92, passed away peacefully March 20, 2014, in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was a graduate of Quincy High School. Until his retirement, Richard worked for 17 years for Boston Edison as a steam engineer. He was a life member of the Weymouth Lodge of Elks # 2232 and he was a bingo volunteer and enjoyed playing on their golf team. He was also a past president of the Weymouth Senior Citizens Recreation Club. In his spare time he enjoyed gardening and following the New England Patriots. Mr. Bartlett served honorably in the United States Army during World War II and fought at the Battle of the Bulge. He was a member of the 10th Armored Division Veterans Association. He will be sorely missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing him. He was the beloved husband of the late Rose Marie (Stokes) Bartlett; loving father of Karen A. Lombard and her husband Christopher of Crossville, Tenn., Robert Bartlett and his companion Kimberly Ferguson of Weymouth and the late Richard K. Bartlett; brother of Priscilla Brew of California. Also survived by 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Sunday 2-6 p.m. in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home, at 3 Charles Street (corner of Charles and Middle Street), East Weymouth. Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Monday prior to the funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, Weymouth, at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Weymouth.
