Margaret L. "Peggy" (Jacobi) Madden, 84, of Squantum entered into eternal life on March 31, 2014, at home with her loving daughter by her side. Mother to Jeanmarie Peoples of Squantum. Daughter of the late Marie Jacobi and Arthur H. Jacobi. Margaret was born in Cambridge and lived in Squatum throughout her life. She graduated from North Quincy High School in 1949. Margaret worked at Federal Reserve Bank of Boston for several years before retiring in 1986. Margaret was an avid traveler and loved playing bridge as a life master in bridge tournaments. Active members of the Star of the Sea Church, Squantum Catholic Women's Club. She was an avid charitable organizer for the March of Dimes, St. Jude and the American Cancer Society. Beloved wife of the late Thomas J. Madden. Sister of Reverend Dr. Arthur Jacobi Jr. of Florida and William D. Jacobi and his wife Susan of Pennsylvania. Loving aunt of Megan Jacobi, Justine Langle, and William and Danielle Jacobi. Caring cousin of Britta Connolley. Margaret was always grateful to her caregivers through her medical needs. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4 - 8 p.m. in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., Quincy. A celebration of life service will be held in the funeral home at 11:15 a.m. Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 12 p.m. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy.
