James L. Cazeault Obituary
James L. Cazeault, 64, of Cotuit, beloved husband, father, brother and grandfather, peacefully passed away May 1, 2014, at Cape Cod Hospital after a courageous battle with esophageal cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family. He grew up as the youngest of ten Cazeault children in Weymouth and proudly served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps in the Vietnam War where he was awarded the Navy Commendation Medal with Combat Valor for heroic achievement. Upon returning home from war, Jimmy married his high school sweetheart, Eiblis (Long) of Braintree and moved to Cape Cod, where along with his brothers, started Cazeault Roofing, where he worked for over 40 years. He was most happy spending time with his family and grandchildren at his home or on his boat in the coves of Cotuit. He was an avid golfer and a proud founding member and Chief of Security of the Oysterville Yacht Club (OYC). He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Eiblis (Long) Cazeault of Cotuit; his sons, Seamus and his wife Kim (Akerman) of Osterville, Jeffrey Liam and his wife Elena (Russold) of Wilmington, N.C., and Justin Pearson and his wife Sara (Abrahani) of Wilmington, N.C.; daughter, Cara Cogswell and husband Joseph of Centerville; and his 13 beautiful grandchildren, Liam, Drew, Connor, Megan, Will, Gavin, Laura, Kyle, Anna Grace, Brendan, Sean, Caroline and Caitlin; his siblings, Joseph of Edgartown, Jon of Plymouth, Paul of Osterville, Richard of Centerville, Jean Skinner of Florida, Patty Cross of Hingham, Gail Robertson of Abington and Sally Benson of Maine. He was preceded in death by his parents, Pearson F. and Marion E. Cazeault, and his brother, Donald W. Cazeault. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours Sunday, May 4, from 2-6 p.m. at the John-Lawrence Funeral Home, 3778 Falmouth Rd. (Rte. 28), Marstons Mills. Relatives and friends will gather at the funeral home at 9 a.m. Monday, May 5, prior to the funeral Mass at Our Lady of Victory Church, Centerville, at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Mosswood Cemetery, Cotuit.
