Anna M. (Pedi) Franco, age 91, formerly of Roslindale and Plymouth, died May 3, 2014, at Wingate at Silver Lake in Kingston. She was the wife of the late Salvatore Franco. Born in Sicily, Italy, Sept. 26, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Luigi and Marianna (Buccheri) Pedi. She came to the U.S. at age six crossing the Atlantic with her mother and older siblings to join her father. Anna loved to cook, crochet, and spend time with her family. She was educated in Chelsea and had worked for the International Ladies Garment Workers for many years as a stitcher, retiring at age 62. Anna is survived by her daughter, Tina Jorgensen and her husband Arn of Plymouth; her daughter-in-law, Denise Franco of Florida; and was predeceased by her son, Nicholas L. Franco. She was the beloved sister of Mario Pedi of Winchester, Sebastian Pedi of Hampstead, N.H., and Josephine Zammarelli of Lincoln, R.I. She was predeceased by her sisters, Mary and Agripina, and her brother, Paul. She was the cherished grandmother of Marin, Christian, and Anne Jorgensen, and Nicholas and Joseph Franco; and great-grandmother of Nora and Sebastian Contrino and Rowan, Greyden, and Bailey Jorgensen. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday, May 10, 2014, at St. Peters Church in Plymouth at 10 a.m. Visitation at the Cartmell Funeral Home, 150 Court St., Plymouth, Saturday morning from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. prior the funeral Mass.
