Wendell A. Hayden, of Holbrook passed away peacefully May 30, 2014 at the age of 58. Beloved son of Aubrey and Arline (Schlager) Hayden of Holbrook. He lived in Braintree for several years before settling in Holbrook. He was a graduate of Holbrook High School, Class of 1973, and was an active member of the Varsity Ice Hockey Team. He enjoyed music and the Arts playing Saxophone and traveling to Europe with the Concordia Concert Group before attending the Boston Conservatory of Music. He is the devoted brother of Jody Butman and her husband Robert of Cohsaset. Also survived his niece Jami Flynn and her husband Rick and his nephew Robert Butman Jr. and his loving auntie June Connors and extended family. Reposing at the Cartwright funeral Home, 68 So. Frankllin St. (Rte. 37), Holbrook until 9:15 a.m. Wednesday, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, Holbrook. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial will take place in Union Cemetery, Holbrook.
