Obituary Condolences

Leonard F. Vinton, 74, of Pembroke, formerly of Braintree, passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2014. The son of the late Elmer and Dorothy (Whiting) Vinton, he was born June 26, 1939. He was a graduate of Braintree High School and attended Suffolk University. Leonard proudly served in the United States Navy. Leonard was the husband of Maureen (Austin) Vinton of Pembroke. He is survived by his children, Debbie Smith and her husband Bob of Plymouth, Steven Dillon and his wife Deborah of Rockland, Mark Dillon of Pembroke, Pam Wakstein of Pembroke, Len Vinton of Pembroke, Mark Vinton, and Kimberly Vinton. Leonard is survived by his brother, Ray Vinton and his wife Paula of Hull; and was the brother to the late Joyce Vinton. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren; and 5 nieces and nephews. Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Homes, 2 Maquan St., at the corner of Rte. 14 and 58, in Hanson, Friday, June 27, from 3-6 p.m. A funeral home service will follow at 6 p.m. Burial will be private.
