Obituary Condolences

Ida J. (DeSimone) Antczak, age 92, of Braintree, died peacefully Saturday, July 12, 2014, at the John Scott House in Braintree, surrounded by her loving family. Ida was born, raised and educated in Lynn and graduated from Lynn Classical High School. She lived in Braintree for six years, previously living in Quincy for twenty years and earlier living in Jamaica Plain. She was a homemaker but as a young woman had worked briefly for General Electric. Ida enjoyed reading and was especially devoted to her family. Beloved wife of the late Charles C. Antczak, she was the devoted mother of Christina M. Baccari and her husband Paul of Hingham and Carole M. Simone of Weymouth; loving grandmother of Caroline, Stephen and Michael; and cherished great-grandmother of Alexander and Mariana. Ida was the last of seven siblings. A funeral Mass will be celebrated in Saint John the Baptist Church, 44 School Street, Quincy, Wednesday, July 16, at 11:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. At the request of the family, Idas interment at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Idas memory may be made to the Daughters of Divine Charity, 850 Hylan Blvd., Staten Island, NY 10305.
