Raymond "Ray" G. Clark of East Bridgewater died July 23, 2014, in Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital, at the age of 84. Ray was born in Boston and raised by his grandmother Sylvia Bernice Morash and educated in Boston graduating from English High School in Jamaica Plain. He worked as a glazier for many South Shore and Boston glass companies. He was a member of the Local Glazier Union 1044 and an Army/Air Force veteran. He enjoyed traveling the country with his family and was always an advocate for all animals and gave to many charities. He was the husband of Kathleen J. Clark (Clifford) formerly of East Braintree. Ray was also the proud father of 4 children, with his former wife and friend, Shirley Carlson, Linda (Clark) DelPrete of Rockland, Shirley (Dee Clark) Lovendale of Kingston and Robert Clark of Puttney, Vt., and the late Raymond G. Clark II.; brother of Shirley Hennessey and her daughter Josephine of Hull and the late Robert and Ralph Stoddard. Ray is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom he loved dearly and was so proud of. Visiting hours in the Chapman Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 35 Spring Street, East Bridgewater, Sunday 2-5 p.m. Funeral service in the funeral home Monday at 11 a.m. Burial in Central Cemetery, East Bridgewater. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Ray may be made to Fairydogparents.org which helps pets in need of medical assistance via medical, grooming, food, walks, so they can stay home with their families and not have to be surrendered.
