William H. Marsh Obituary
William H. Marsh of Weymouth passed away Sept. 21, 2012. Devoted son of the late Walter K. and Hazel F. (Cody) Marsh, he was the beloved husband of Virginia M. (Dwyer) Marsh; loving father of Scott A. and his wife Leigh of Corpus Christi, Texas, Jason W. and his wife Colleen Apostolos-Marsh of Gloucester, James E. of Weymouth and Colleen E. Marsh of Braintree; brother of Kenneth W. Marsh of Key West, Fla., Janet M. McIntyre of Norton and Sharon Paynotta of Plymouth; cherished grandfather of Sarah M., W. Henry, Lotus J., Ava M., Lyla R. and the late Katie Marsh. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and cousins. Bill was a U.S. Army veteran and served in Vietnam. He also served on the committee for the Weymouth Vietnam War Memorial. Bill loved golf, but his passion was his family; they meant the world to him. He will be sorely missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing and loving him. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Tuesday 4-8 p.m. in the McDonald Funeral Home, at 40 Sea St. (off Rte. 3A-Bicknell Square), North Weymouth. Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday prior to the funeral Mass in St. Jerome Church, Weymouth, at 10:30 a.m. Burial with military honors in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, at 12:45 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Bills memory to Friends of the Weymouth Vietnam Memorial, c/o Frank Burke, 93 Bluff Road, Weymouth, MA 02191.
