Vincent P. Cooney Sr., 72, of Humarock, formerly of Wellesley, died Oct. 29. Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Bernard P. and Anna (Phinn) Cooney. Vincent was a graduate of Penn State University in 1966 and in 1977 founded with his partner Wayne Gagnon, American Bioanalytical, Inc., in Natick. He was the beloved husband of Mary (Henderson) Cooney; loving father of Vincent P. Jr. and his wife Nancy, Matthew R. and his wife Paula and David P. and his wife Jill, all of Duxbury; special grandfather of Evan, Reece, Braden, Autumn, Jack, Addison and Owen. Vincent is also survived by his siblings, Bernard Cooney of Wellesley, Frances Connors of Sudbury, Barbara Kuersteiner of California, Mary Slot of Maryland,, Eleanor Powers of Connecticut and was predeceased by his brothers, Richard and Joseph. He also leaves many nieces and nephews. Vincent was a devoted family man who enjoyed traveling with his family and especially loved boating with his grandchildren. Visiting hours will be held in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 551 Washington St., Rte. 53, in Hanover, Friday from 4-8 p.m. A service in the funeral home will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. Interment at a later date.
