Albert (Albie) W. DeFazio, 82, of Quincy, died Saturday at Quincy Medical Center. Born in Boston in 1931, Mr. DeFazio moved to Quincy with his family in 1961. He was a self-employed welder and avid New England Patriots fan. His biggest passion was spending time with friends and family. Albie is survived by his wife Margaret (Sweeney), two sisters Joan and Ethel of Arizona; Michael DeFazio of Florida and Paul and Ann DeFazio of Foxboro; Karen Smith and husband Michael of Quincy and Marianne Von Oehsen and husband Gary of New Jersey; and six grandchildren, Matthew and Jennifer DeFazio, Ryann McKinnon, Michael Smith, and Sydney and Thomas Von Oehsen. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 4:00 | 8:00 P.M. in the Lydon Chapel of Funerals, Quincy, at 644 Hancock St. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 A.M. at St. Anns Church, Quincy. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Albie may be made to the American Cancer Association.
